Lighting technology for HIT lamps
The further miniaturisation of metal halide lamps and the downward expansion of the wattages available are giving luminaire design new impetus and enabling differentiated lighting concepts. Articles for the ultra compact 20W HIT-TC-CE lamp from Philips (PG15 fixing) are now available in many product groups for the indoor area. This lamp has a similar geometry to that of the QT12 low-voltage halogen lamp and it has already proven its power capabilities in the lighting for the Louvre's glass pyramid.
The new 20W version of the well-known HIT-TC-CE lamps with G8.5 bi-pin base is used in the outdoor area. This means that the advantages of this lamp type can also come into play in those areas where lower brightness levels are required.
