Discharge lamps have specific advantages over tungsten halogen lamps: in addition to high luminous flux and outstanding energy efficiency, they have a long service life. The main characteristic of ERCO wallwashers is the highly uniform brightness of the wall. Lightcast double-focus wallwashers are provided with special, internal wallwasher segments which produce the highest level of uniformity.

Due to this special reflector technology, the lamp is concealed from the direct view of observers, similarly there is no direct light emission to the surface to be illuminated.
The Lightcast double-focus wallwashers have cast aluminium housings which are designed to provide optimum thermal properties according to their particular technical requirements.
