The Spherolit technology in the Compact HIT produces a light beam that meets the highest uniformity requirements, while the specular effects of the reflector give the ceiling an attractive appearance. The lighting technology of the luminaire has been optimised in terms of efficient visual comfort by using an anti-glare cone and a cut-off angle of 30°. This combination of economic ambient light, interesting appearance and particularly shallow recess depth make the Compact HIT a truly unique luminaire. The Compact HIT is an ideal lighting tool for promotional areas in shops or administrative buildings, where economical solutions and brilliance are required for the illumination of merchandise, objects and material.

Compact HIT downlights feature high luminous flux and their appearance provides an attractive alternative to downlights with darklight reflectors, while boasting good visual comfort.

Spherolit technology recessed luminaires

The Compact HIT range of downlights now, for the first time, features Spherolit reflectors in recessed ceiling luminaires. This has now been extended by Spherolit versions such as washlights and double washlights. A Softec lens as cover glass further improves the uniformity produced by luminaires with these reflectors. Just as in the downlight versions, these Compact HIT models are designed exclusively for energy-efficient, long-life metal halide lamps and feature compact housings with an extra shallow recess depth.

Spherolit reflectors Tutorial film

Spherolit reflector
The mirror-finish coating of the metallic antiglare cap helps to produce a very high light output ratio as does the optimised Spherolit reflector. The output ratio is further enhanced by the coated safety glass of the Compact HIT due to its very high transmission factor.

Metal halide lamps
Modern metal halide lamps with ceramic discharge tubes combine brilliant light and extreme luminous efficacy with good colour stability and colour rendition. The low energy consumption and high luminous flux make this lamp a highly efficient light source.

Downlight-Wandfluter

Double washlights
This type of luminaire uniformly illuminates parallel walls in hallways and corridors in addition to the floor.

Washlights
These recessed ceiling luminaires uniformly illuminate wall surfaces from the ceiling to the floor and appear in the room just as if they were downlights.

Compact HIT Downlights

Downlights
The use of the patented Spherolit technology for Compact HIT downlights has resulted in new aesthetics in terms of downlight lighting. The spherolites produce bright reflections in the reflector to increase the contrast between luminaire aperture and ceiling. Compared with the conventional darklight technology, Compact HIT have a cut-off angle of 30° to ensure high visual comfort. The luminance distribution on the individual spherolites results in a comfortable brightness distribution in the reflector.
