The Quadra family is a system of extremely compact, recessed luminaires that make use of the increasing miniaturisation in lighting and lamp technology: With their square reflector shapes starting at about 13cm edge length, they form a compact, precise detail in the ceiling design and can also provide a large range of the lighting functions within the architecture.
In addition to metal halide lamps, the Quadra downlights, directional downlights and lens wallwashers can also be fitted with QR-CBC low-voltage halogen reflector lamps and LEDs. The benefit of these lamps is that they are widely used and boast excellent colour rendition and long service life. A Softec lens has been fitted to optimise the lighting quality of these lamps. Alternatively, the downlights and directional luminaires are available with the energy efficient 35W and 70W HIT lamps with the renowned ERCO reflector technology. The Quadra range therefore covers downlighting, accent lighting and highquality wallwashing. In addition, versions for compact fluorescent lamps provide economic ambient lighting. Quadra recessed spotlights are an additional lighting option available in the range of recessed spotlights. Most Quadra versions are available as units with one, two or four luminaire modules. This allows simple multiplication of the lumen output in order to adjust it to different ceiling heights and for areas that require different lumen packages.

The separately packaged, double-sided, reversible mounting frame allows every Quadra luminaire to be mounted either with an overlapping trim or to be flush mounted in plaster ceilings. The LED varychrome luminaires have a colour compensation feature to correct the manufacturing tolerances by calibrating the LED module. The result is that the same DALI control values will give the user exactly the same colour of light for all luminaires of a specific type. The DALI-compatible luminaires have digital control gear which can address each luminaire individually - for instance using the ERCO Light System DALI with its integral ERCO Light Studio software.
