A unique trim detail is the main feature of the Skim recessed luminaire product range. In Skim recessed luminaires, a precise joint which can be either a shadow gap, a diffuse light ring or even a varychrome ring is situated between the reflector edge and the flush-mounted plaster mounting ring. The main light source supplies light to the diffuse light ring and the reflector appears to be freely suspended in the ceiling. In Skim Varychrome luminaires, LEDs in RGB technology are used so that any required colour can be fed into the varychrome ring through a light guide system. These innovative variants of the Skim product range allow the lighting designer to create a differentiated lighting concept for a room, which emphasises individual room areas with colour accents using the Skim downlights with varychrome technology.

The range starts with size 3. It comprises downlights, washlights, lens wallwashers and directional luminaires. As a result of increasing miniaturisation in lighting technology, the focus is on light sources such as low-voltage halogen lamps and metal halide lamps. Lighting technology, anti-glare protection and visual comfort are consistent with the high standards of the comparable downlights of ERCO´s Lightcast product range. The DALI-compatible luminaires have digital control gear through which each luminaire can be individually addressed - for instance using the ERCO Light System DALI with its integral ERCO Light Studio software.
