Nadir IP67 Recessed floor luminaires
In interiors and in transition zones between indoors and outdoors, recessed floor luminaires are often chosen to produce grazing light, to create dramatic lighting accents or as directive luminaires. These tasks are ideal for the new Nadir range of recessed floor luminaires with low to medium light levels. Nadir luminaires attract attention not only because these light sources are situated at ground level but also because of their upward beam direction, which makes them particularly noticeable. The selection of round or square housing shapes allows the luminaire´s geometry to match the architecture and to take on a variety of lighting tasks. As grazing light, they emphasise wall surfaces and accentuate fine textures. The directional luminaires are suitable for accent lighting of columns, thoroughfares or individual features. In addition to the effective lighting of architecture, the varychrome luminaire is also used for orientation, for marking routes or for the identification of areas using a row of luminaires. Nadir recessed floor luminaires can either be fitted with an overlapping mounting frame or installed flush in the ground.
The compact, cast aluminium luminaire housings are designed to meet the requirements of IP67, a protection mode not usually found indoors, this is for them to withstand dirt and moisture arising, for example, during floor cleaning. Their design was optimised to allow for shallow recess depths to ensure that Nadir luminaires can easily be integrated into standard floor superstructures without problematic sound bridges. The recessed floor housing allows compensation of dimensional tolerances and floor alignment through the height adjustable frame, this ensures correct installation. The DALI-compatible luminaires have digital control gear which can address each luminaire individually - for instance using the ERCO Light System DALI with its integral ERCO Light Studio software. Tesis recessed floor luminaires are available in the ERCO Outdoor Lighting Program for the special demands of architectural and landscape lighting in the outdoor environment.
