Opton for 2-circuit track
Featuring ERCOs exclusive Spherolit technology, which is easily replaced without tools, Opton produces different light distribution patterns for flexible lighting solutions. Thanks to its modular design, Opton is particularly suitable for situations with frequently changing lighting requirements, such as in shop windows. The horizontal position of the compact control gear, in combination with the compact luminaire head, reduces its height thereby making it particularly suitable for rooms with low ceilings. Innovative Spherolit technology and low operating costs make Opton an economical investment. Depending on the lamp used, Opton is available either with a flat or a conical luminaire head.
Flexibility
The Spherolit technology is replaced quickly and without tools, making it easy to change light distribution patterns to suit changing shop window and product presentations.

LED technology
The quality of the optical systems has a major influence on the overall efficiency of an LED. With the goal of producing directed light, ERCO uses optical projection systems that have been designed and built in-house. A collimator as a secondary lens forms the interface between the LED lens on the printed circuit board and the interchangeable Spherolit lens, which then acts as a tertiary lens. This system design provides ERCO users with a unique variety of light distributions for professional lighting design applications. Decades of experience in injection-molded polymers ensure the highest quality levels from our in-house production plant.
Primary lens
The primary lens is mounted directly on the LED chip and produces a hemispherical beam emission.
Secondary lens
As the secondary lens, the collimator aligns the rays of light into a parallel beam, which allows for the addition of different tertiary lenses.
Tertiary lens
After focusing the beam, the Spherolit tertiary lens determines the light distribution. This ranges from narrow beams to wide beams and also includes asymmetric light distributions for vertical illuminance.
Narrow spot
To accentuate smaller objects with high illuminance or to cover considerable distances between luminaire and object. Beam angle: < 10°.
Product overview
Spot
The standard characteristic for accent lighting for objects of all kinds, especially to reveal the three-dimensional shape. Beam angle: 10° - 20°.
Product overview
Flood
Used for efficient accentuation of large objects or to uniformly emphasize a complete spatial zone. Beam angle: 25° - 35°.
Product overview
Wide flood
Used for flexible, flooding illumination of surface areas and spatial zones, especially useful for the presentation of goods. Beam angle: > 45°.
Product overview
Oval flood
The oval flood Spherolit lens has an axially symmetrical light intensity distribution, producing an oval beam of approx. 20° to 60°.
Product overview
Wallwash
The light distribution of the lens wallwasher is designed to produce very good uniformity.

Dimming on the spotlight
Opton LED spotlights can be dimmed in various ways for efficient visual comfort. The versions with electronic control gear developed by ERCO have an integrated potentiometer to adjust the luminous flux precisely and individually.
