ERCO Emanon for track Introduction

Light has long been used as a component of design to produce effective highlights particularly in the retail sector. Lighting equipment such as the Emanon range of spotlights combine innovative lighting technology with digital control electronics resulting in an entirely new, creative scope for scenographic lighting concepts. Shops and shop windows become a stage with possibilities previously the reserve of event and show lighting: Emanon includes a variety of spotlights with different beam angles and a wide range of accessories, along with high-quality wallwashers, LED luminaires, and projector spotlights. As an exceptional feature in the ERCO Program, even digitally addressable Goborotators for dynamic projection effects are available. The distinct integral shape, which is characteristic of all Emanon spotlights, is the brainchild of designer Ives Béhar. The consistent element is a lighting technology module of cast aluminium. This is thermally separated from the electronic control gear and contained in housings made of two plastic shells. The structured surface indicates that the spotlights can be touched and aligned without a problem even when in operation. Optimal heat dissipation is ensured by the concentric ventilation slots on the back of the housing. The options of low-voltage halogen lamps, metal halide lamps and high-pressure sodium vapour lamp in different wattages and of Spherolit reflectors with different beam angles make the Emanon spotlights ideal for specific lighting tasks. Their reflectors feature the innovative Spherolit technology which provides the options of narrow spot, spot, flood or wide-flood characteristics, all from reflectors of the same size. The Spherolit reflectors are easily replaced without tools meaning that the light distribution patterns can be changed to suit various lighting tasks.

The Spherolit reflector, oval flood, gives the Emanon floodlight a wide beam angle for lighting large zones or objects. The Spherolit wallwasher with Spherolit reflector, wallwash, produces a focal emphasis in the upper third of the wall, for example, to enhance the visibility of shop displays. To meet the requirement of maximum uniformity and glare control for wallwashing, the Emanon range also includes lens wallwashers. For accent lighting, Emanon also uses high-power LEDs with a Spherolit lens system in white and in varychrome technology for variable colours of light. The Emanon projector spotlights are available with two light distribution patterns for different applications. One of the special features in the Emanon range are the Goborotators for scenographic lighting concepts with dynamic projections. The overlapping of two rotating gobo motifs with a different sharpness and speed produces fascinating lighting effects. Vibration-free motor bearings and toothed belt drives ensure a low-noise, low-maintenance operation. This makes qualifies the Goborotator ideal for continuous use in architectural applications. The DALI-compatible luminaires feature digitally addressable control gear, which can be individually addressed to each luminaire separately, for example when using the ERCO Light System DALI and the integrated ERCO Light Studio software.
