Optec for track
The luminous flux of LEDs and their dominant wavelength, which determines the hue, both deviate within certain limits due to the manufacturing process. Semiconductor producers therefore classify each LED into different categories, known as "binnings", using the values actually measured. ERCO demands that its suppliers provide particularly stringently selected binnings with respect to the dominant wavelength. This means that the more exactly an individual light source emits a certain wavelength from the outset, the greater the colour space that can be produced by RGB colour mixing. But even with the most stringent selection, deviations in the luminous flux of individual LEDs of one colour still have to be accepted. Without colour compensation, this could cause the light colours produced by RGB colour mixing to visibly deviate from one luminaire to the next for the same DALI control values.
The line from the central white point to the RGB points serves as a scale for saturation. The numeric values on the outer edge of the curve indicate the wavelength.
