The name Optec covers a spotlight range whose key design feature is the separation of light head and control gear housing. The system structure with its various lamp options for low-voltage reflector lamps or high-pressure sodium vapour lamps makes it ideal for lighting sales areas, restaurants or galleries. The coloured high-power LEDs enable the Optec varychrome spotlight to be used for dynamic colour mixing. The LED varychrome luminaires have a colour compensation feature to correct the manufacturing tolerances by calibrating the LED module. The result is that the same DALI control values will give the user exactly the same colour of light for all luminaires of a specific type. Optec spotlights for coolbeam reflector lamps have a special Softec lens to optimise the light quality of the lamp. Versions with wallwasher technology and an appropriate range of accessories complete the Optec range.

The separate control gear housings provide a thermally separated mounting compartment for the electronic control of low-voltage lamps or high-pressure discharge lamps. The DALI-compatible luminaires have digital control gear through which each luminaire can be individually addressed -using for instance the ERCO Light System DALI with its integral ERCO Light Studio software.
A separate group within the Optec product range is made up of floodlights, wallwashers and luminaires. The distinctive triangular profile is the design feature that links them together, and their lighting technology meets the high requirements of museum lighting. Optec wallwashers can produce totally uniform wall lighting using various lamps such as tungsten halogen, fluorescent or compact fluorescent lamps.
