Quinta for track
The Quinta range of spotlights was developed in cooperation with Danish architect and designer Knud Holscher. It took two years of intensive development work to find a design that satisfies the numerous technical requirements for the product range, while also being easy to handle and operate.
The design of the Quinta range is dictated by mechanical functions that have never been used in this particular constellation before. Knud Holscher´s design brief stated that the light head must rotate and tilt in definable angles and that, once aimed and focused, it must be possible to lock its position to avoid any accidental changes to the set lighting alignment.
In the course of designing the Quinta spotlight, Knud Holscher added angle-gauge features that clearly refer to and indicate the spotlights´ basic functions. It is no coincidence that these design details are reminiscent of high-precision nautical instruments, because the Quinta product range also provides high precision for adjusting and fixing the angles of tilt and rotation.
This provides maximum user-friendliness, convenience and safety, especially for professional exhibitors who demand high quality lighting technology when illuminating their exhibitions. The angles of rotation and tilt can both be read off the pinions running in the gear rings. The angle of rotation is displayed between 0° and 360°, while the angle of tilt is read and adjusted between 0° and 90°.
Quinta spotlights are cast aluminium and are available in white and silver. The product range is designed for tungsten halogen lamps, low-voltage halogen lamps and high-pressure discharge lamps. This ensures a wide range of uses for all the important areas in architecture.
The wide range of accessories also includes anti-dazzle attachments, lenses, colour filters, food filters and filters to reduce IR and UV radiation. The DALI-compatible luminaires have digital control gear which can address each luminaire individually - for instance using the ERCO Light System DALI with its integral ERCO Light Studio software.
