ERCO Area Net, the system for light management and scenic dimming, is a convenient tool for dynamic lighting design. Area Net can be used to interpret architecture to suit different requirements-whether aesthetic or practical, Area Net can create the optimum lighting effect for each individual case. Area Net integrates into the networked building technology as a modular-based individual system with decentralised control panels which control the lighting of a whole building and can be linked up with sensors, other equipment and data networks. The system components have their own microprocessor with an integrated interface. Identified by individual addresses, all com-ponents can communicate with one another using a common line, which simplifies the installation considerably. The speed and dependability of the bus protocol is ideal for high quality lighting control applications.
Sensors enable the interaction between Area Net and its environment. This means that the daylight sensors automatically maintain the lighting level even with fluctuating levels of daylight, saving energy. In addition, different light scenes can be recalled to suit the external lighting conditions. The connections for presence sensors and switches complete the product range.
