Axis Walklight
The combination of an advanced LED light source and ERCO's experience with glare free systems for light direction created the Axis walklight. This is an innovative tool for the lighting of stairways and paths with unequalled power and visual comfort. The Axis walklight is installed in stairways or walls. Its flat and wide beam illuminates paths or steps all the way to the edge. An LED module, the actual light source, is completely concealed from view for optimum visual comfort. Only a slight brightness on the rectangular, lens-like cover glass reveals the light emission.
The Axis Walklight is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Housings and cover frames have a special coating over which a double powder-coating in Graphit m is applied. Using the recessed housing, each individual luminaire can be accurately positioned before the construction of the steps or pathway is completed. The light to illuminate steps or paths is produced using the asymmetrical reflector-lens system. In this system, the LED module is concealed, irrespective of the observer's position. A Softec lens acting as safety glass projects the light all the way to the edge of the tread and therefore provides an excellent illumination of the edges of steps or paths. The LED module itself provides excellent light distribution to illuminate wide steps. Coverage and illuminance of the area to be lit depends on the mounting height.
The luminaire never needs servicing; the LED module with daylight white or warm white lamps is highly efficient and has an exceptionally long service life. The robust, multilayer powder-coated housing offers excellent protection and the mains connection of the Axis walklights guarantee fast and easy installation. In the Axis product range the Axis varychrome walklight is especially noteworthy. Due to the LED module with RGB technology a wide range of light colours can be changed dynamically and continuously. This establishes new and exciting creative possibilities in architecture. Control is carried out individually or via a separate control gear with analogue control inputs. The DALI-compatible luminaires feature digital control gear, which can address each luminaire individually or in groups of up to eight, for instance, using the ERCO Light System DALI and the pre-programmed ERCO Light Studio software.
