Lighting designers like to use façade-mounted luminaires both for general lighting immediately around buildings and to create lighting effects on the building itself. The Cylinder facade luminaires are powerful and flexible tools for these application. Cylinder facade luminaires are available in three sizes, identified by lamps and characteristics. All three share the basic cylindrical form with a rectangular wall plate and high-quality IP65 housing made of cast aluminium with multiple powder coatings.

The smallest versions of this luminaire product group are fitted with low-voltage halogen reflector lamps. A Softec lens has been fitted to optimise the lighting quality of these lamps. A downlight version and an uplightdownlight version equipped with two lamps are available. The versions for low-voltage general diffuse halogen capsule lamps and for HIT-CE lamps both emit light upwards and downwards. Whereas the downlight component is guided by a Darklight reflector with high visual comfort, the smaller component of the lamp lumens is focused via a lens system and emitted upwards. This narrow beam of light should be tilted slightly towards the facade to achieve a grazing light effect. The beam angle can be adjusted in three settings.
