The illumination of facades with grazing light brings out the surface texture at night. A narrow beam light distribution has been developed for the Focalflood façade luminaire, allowing the light to graze the wall without causing unnecessary light pollution. A wide light distribution in the other direction ensures a uniform impression of brightness across the width of the wall when facade luminaires are mounted in a row. The use of LEDs results in a low connected power for relatively high luminous flux. The long service life of LEDs ensures economical lighting costs. The LED varychrome luminaires have a colour compensation feature to correct the manufacturing tolerances by calibrating the LED module. As a result, the same DALI control values will give the user exactly the same colour of light for all luminaires of a specific type. The DALI-compatible luminaires have digital control gear which can address each luminaire individually - for instance using the ERCO Light System DALI with its integral ERCO Light Studio software.
