The Midipoll bollard luminaire now extends the ERCO outdoor range with a luminaire which provides high visual comfort and uses discreet light to provide scenic effects both of itself and its surroundings. It can be used not only where open areas and pathways require effective lighting but also where the bollard itself features as a strategic object. The luminaire stands out from the darkness as an illuminated object providing orientation, even from afar. In addition, the dark sky technology completely shields pedestrians and drivers from glare and prevents spill light from being emitted above the horizontal. A cross-shaped aluminium profile - elegantly formed of four parabolas - connects the cylindrical luminaire head with the matching lower section. The lamp itself is completely concealed.

The Midipoll bollard luminaire emits light downwards. The light grazes the cross-shaped profile to gently accentuate the cylindrical lower section in addition to spreading light widely across the ground. A special lens has been developed for each of the two powerful lamps - LED and metal halide lamp. These both produce a uniform, wide-beam light distribution. When using the LED version, designers can choose either warm white or daylight white so that the colour temperature harmonises with the surroundings. The double cable entry on the luminaire makes through-wiring simple.
