The lighting technology of Cylinder surface-mounted ceiling downlights corresponds to that of their recessed-mounted counterparts. The cylindrical surface-mounted housing is of corrosion resistant, powder-coated cast aluminium. High protection mode surface-mounted downlights are suitable for the transitional areas between indoors and outdoors. Typically they are used for balconies, porches, cantilevered roofs and covered terraces. Surface-mounted directional luminaires have a glare-free Darklight reflector and look similar to surface-mounted downlights.
The ability of the lamp and reflector to be tilted up to 15° from the vertical is characteristic for directional luminaires. This allows an accent beam to be aimed to suit a specific lighting task. The integral sculpture lens in a directional luminaire means that it can produce an even vertical illuminance. In indoor areas where protection against moisture or dust is required, they ensure high-quality lighting even in these harsh environmental conditions. In addition, the patented diffuser technology increases the visual comfort of the Darklight reflectors.
