As white or coloured points of light, LED orientation luminaires can mark out pathways and zones, contribute to safety in entrances, on stair treads and to identify architectural lines. Stainless steel covers and scratch-resistant glass ensure that the orientation luminaires will function as high-quality luminaires for years to come. The housings have integral, ribbed gaskets for ease of installation. The special optical elements, such as refractors and diffusers, make these orientation luminaires highly visible even in bright surroundings. For the wall-mounted floor washlights, ERCO has developed a highly efficient light emission technique. Linking LED luminaires by means of intelligent lighting control signals is logical and beneficial. For this reason, the range includes orientation luminaires which offer functions such as colour changing, dimming and rapid and gradual flashing.

A characteristic of the LED varychrome orientation luminaire is that through the LED module with RGB technology a wide range of light colours can be changed dynamically and continuously. Control is carried out individually or as a group via a separate control gear with analogue control inputs. DALI-compatible luminaires have digitally addressable control gear which means that each luminaire can be individually controlled - for instance using the ERCO Light System DALI with its integral ERCO Light Studio software. This allows interesting applications in the context of safety and networked building technology: such as dynamic, variable route marking systems, switchable optical barriers or escape route markings, which are automatically activated when the 24V emergency lighting power supply is activated.
