An ambitious lighting concept is even more dramatic if the light source is concealed as discreetly as possible. The demands placed on the versatility and quality of a range of in-ground luminaires for external use are even higher than those developed for internal use. Tesis IP68 in-ground luminaires include more than the typical lighting design tools such as uplights, directional luminaires and wallwashers. These, in combination with ERCO indoor lighting products, enable a holistic approach to architectural lighting to be achieved. In addition, Tesis also sets new standards of visual comfort for outdoor luminaires due to the extensive use of Darklight reflector technology. The selection of round or square housing forms makes it possible to select the luminaire shape to suit the architectural language.


Photometric innovations further extend the creative options of the lighting designer: precise grazing light on facades using adjustable uplights which only require a very shallow installation depth while providing perfect anti-glare protection. For vertical illuminance: Tesis focal wallwashers with focal emphasis in the lower wall area for additional accent lighting on lettering, lens wallwashers for uniform façade illumination, or wallwashers which provide the highest level of uniformity and emit a beam that extends upwards right from floor level. The LED varychrome luminaires have a colour compensation feature to correct manufacturing tolerances of the coloured LEDs through calibrated control gear. The result is that the same DALI control values will give the user exactly the same colour of light for all luminaires of a specific type. The DALI-compatible luminaires feature digitally addressable control gear which allow every single luminaire to be individually controlled - i.e. by using the ERCO Light System DALI and the pre-programmed ERCO Light Studio software.
