Track systems and light structures

Possibly no invention since the incandescent lamp has made such a radical change on lighting design as the track. Track effectively liberated light and luminaires from the constraints of rigid mounting. It forms the basis for variable, flexible lighting design that can be orientated around the changing style and usage of a room. A comprehensive range of accessories enables the tracks to be connected in linear rows or perpendicular configurations.

Spotlights, floodlights and wallwashers

Spotlights bring flexible light into architecture: their most important feature is maneuverability - both for positioning on the track and for aiming. Their domain is accent lighting. With different power ranges and detail solutions, the spotlight series from ERCO are well qualified for their particular application areas. Each series consists of luminaires with different light intensity distribution and lamps while maintaining uniform design features.

Recessed spotlights

Recessed spotlights combine the flexibility of spotlights with the discreet appearance of recessed luminaires. Their domain is accent lighting. Tilt mechanisms enable the luminaires to be aimed at objects or vertical surfaces alike. Recessed spotlights are inconspicuous architectural details and can be combined very well with downlights.
Recessed luminaires

Recessed luminaires are completely subordinate to the light they emit. They are so securely embedded in the ceiling that they barely register as a design feature. The sole factor determining the effect created by space and objects is the play of light on surfaces. Light emitted by downlights can vary from very narrow beams to diffuse wall illumination.

Pendant luminaires

Pendant downlights guarantee economical general lighting with high visual comfort and are also an impressive architectural detail. They are therefore used to highlight particular areas or focal points in a room, but only in situations where the luminaire itself is to be seen as an architectural element. Additionally, the gantry suspension system enables the exact height of the luminaire to be selected so that optimum anti-glare protection is achieved - thus ensuring a high level of visual comfort, such as lighting tables or bars.

Wall-mounted luminaires

Wall-mounted luminaires can perform many different functions. Ceiling washlights provide an illumination of the ceiling with a high degree of evenness. Uplights are designed for photometric optimization of efficiency and light distribution. They are therefore predestined for providing economical, indirect lighting (e.g., with metal halide lamps or compact fluorescent lamps). Floor washlights ensure a safe illumination of traffic-ways and pedestrian routes.
Recessed floor luminaires

In-ground luminaires are very visible for two reasons. They are the only light sources present on ground level. Furthermore, the upward light beam really stands out, grabbing attention. In this respect, they also take over some tasks of directive lighting, e.g. by making pathways clear or by highlighting entrances. In addition to these rather technical applications, the luminaires lend themselves to performing highly effective architectural lighting, whether this concerns the dramatic highlighting of individual features or to emphasize architectural lines using a row of luminaires.
