Since 1997, a legend of the golden age of Berlin has been living on in the form of the new Adlon hotel. Admittedly, this is not a historically exact replica of the old grand hotel that once stood on this site - but, nevertheless, it is a building that combines the style and spirit of its predecessor with modern comforts and the latest technology.
