With little intervention, the young Berlin-based architect Susanne Raupach transformed the empty shop premises at Chausseestrasse 123 into a Tempo temple. Her design establishes a connection between the Zeitgeist of the eighties and nineties, for which the Tempo magazine stands, and the Berlin of today. The walls are papered with the best headlines from 10 years of editorial work.

The merchandise is presented on stacked magazines. A suspended square of Hi-trac track elements is fitted with spotlights and wallwashers of the Parscan series. In this way, the room surfaces and objects can be flexibly highlighted using appropriate lighting effects without permanent changes to the building fabric.
