Lighting solutions
Colette, a business on the Rue Saint-Honoré in the heart of Paris, is design-museum shop and boutique, gallery and hip restaurant all in one. Quite apart from the choice of product departments, on the three floors you can choose from the massive variety that has come to epitomise contemporary metropolitan lifestyle. This ranges from spaghetti sauce in a small jar from the house of Harvey-Nichols to hand-stirred natural cosmetic from New York; from Prada pantalets to a shiny silver Sony Minidisc player; from New Zealand mineral water to photography by Wolfgang Tillmans.
Architecture, merchandise and employees all become integral parts of the overall theme, i.e. of the entire work of art that is - Colette.
What impresses most particularly about Colette is that a perfectly adapted, pleasant ambience has been created. The museum-like presentation, even of simple merchandise, always brings out that what is special and distinctive about each individual item. The lighting level is, by contemporary standards, relatively high without dazzling. Quinta spotlights form the defining element of the lighting concept in addition to various recessed luminaires and illuminated arches.
Lighting tools and architectural details: the definitive element of the lighting concept is the Quinta spotlight for halogen lamps QR111 (100W/12V). They provide brilliant light with excellent colour rendition while giving high visual comfort.
