Light+Building 2012: Impressions

After six turbulent days, the International Trade Fair for Architecture and Technology in Frankfurt is now closing its doors again. ERCO was there - with a range of innovative products: here are a few impressions of the stand.

ERCO stand
The guiding theme of ERCO's stand is 100% LED. This applies not only to the new products presented, but for the first time also to the entire illumination of the stand itself - proof of the efficiency, capabilities and light quality of ERCO's LED technology. Groups of tables arranged on either side of the central bar present the latest innovations. One of the ends serves as a mock-up wall showing how the new products work and demonstrating their benefits to the customer. The other end is designed as a stage-type light wall. In comparison with ERCO's stands at previous trade fairs, the LED technology with a connected load of just 7.62W/m2 has enabled the energy consumption to be significantly reduced - by 62% on 2010, and by as much as 90% on 2004!

Mock-up wall
Mixing projection with real demonstrations, the new LED spotlight ranges are presented here in all their variety to illustrate their efficiency. Didactic contents include product information, light distribution curves and light simulations of application scenarios. The wall including media control system is controlled using ERCO's Light System DALI.

StageThe dynamic stage-set provides a play of brilliants as it communicates in abstract ways the guiding theme of the trade fair, ERCO's LED technology. The light scenes using 700 individually illuminated collimators mix with complex projections from front and behind to produce a magical, flowing image.
