Light + Building 2016 has come to an end. ERCO presented its latest innovations, rounding the event off again with a lively booth party - here a review with film and photos.
Light + Building 2016 took place with its new motto “digital – individual – networked”. Running from 13 – 18 March in Frankfurt am Main, it was a hive of activity with more than 210,000 visitors milling around in fully booked halls. ERCO’s booth in Hall 3.0 was packed during the whole time. Customers, the press and aficionados of sophisticated lighting solutions welcomed the opportunity to talk with ERCO experts about the current issues and challenges of architectural lighting design that have resulted from the ever widening scope and potential applications, naturally driven by rapid advances in LED technology.
The ERCO booth was devoted to LED technology and its applications in architectural lighting, adopting a linear black and white aesthetic that reflected the polarity between technology and design. A floor graphic of an LED PCB made up of binary code created a visual link between the sections, engaging the interest of a wide professional audience, including architects, lighting designers and engineers. The latest generation of ERCO lighting tools was presented on display tables, whilst a mock-up room gave visitors the chance to see the persuasive brilliance, precision and efficiency of ERCO LED solutions for themselves. A communication forum offered seating, inviting callers to relax and enjoy a demonstration of ERCO specific lighting solutions as inspiration for their own projects and commissions. Outside the booth ERCO ran a tongue-in-cheek survey asking visitors about their personal project preferences. More than 35,000 people responded, voting for segments including Work, Culture, Shop and Community.
