III. For which purposes and on which legal basis do we process personal data?
Visiting our website
If visiting out website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or communicate other information to us, we only collect the personal data transferred to us by your browser.

We also save this data, including the IP address, in log files.

We use the double opt-in process for our newsletter registration. You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time and cancel the newsletter. You can declare your cancellation by clicking on the link contained in all newsletter emails or by sending an email to email@example.com. After cancellation we immediately delete your data.
We evaluate your user behavior with our newsletter. For this purpose our newsletter includes web beacons and tracking pixels that are single-pixel image files saved on our website. For evaluation purposes we link the data recorded when you visit our website to your email address and an individual ID. Links contained in the newsletter may also contain this ID. We use this data to create a user profile, enabling us to adapt the newsletter and our offer to your individual interests. We record when you read the newsletter and which links you click on. We link all this data to the actions implemented by you on our website.
You may only revoke this tracking if you cancel your consent for newsletter mailing by clicking on the special link provided in every email or by informing us via another contact method. The data processing for purposes of establishing contact with us is implemented on the basis of Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. b DSGVO if your request concerns the fulfilment of contractual obligations or the commencement of contractual negotiations. The personal data collected by us for use of the contact form is automatically deleted after completion of your request if we are not legally obligated to store this or if we require the data for contract fulfilment. If you contact us via the email addresses we specified, we save the personal data communicated by you for the purpose of responding to your requests. Your data may be stored in a customer relationship management system ("CRM system") or a comparable system.

If you use the myERCO service, during the collection of articles the first three octets of the IP address as well as date and time are saved. The user ID is also saved with registered users.
If you register, we create a user account for you and save the data you specified. You can delete this user account at any time in the user area.
If you create a quotation request via myERCO the personal data required for creating the quotation is collected. Mandatory information is marked as such and other information is voluntary.
