Creating atmosphere with light colors
To create atmosphere with light colors, ERCO offers LEDs with different color temperature and color rendering, from warm white to neutral white.
2700K for warm material colors
Warm color tones such as red, orange and yellow are shown to particular advantage with a very warm 2700K light color. Conversely, a cool light color would lessen the impact of the colors. 2700K is especially suitable for materials such as wood or sandstone and warm-toned metals such as gold, brass and bronze.
3000K with different material colors
Where there are both warm and cool material colors in the same room the 3000K spectrum offers a very balanced result with respect to the overall impact of the colors. For this reason warm white with 3000K is recommended in buildings where many colors come together.
4000K with cool material colors
A 4000K light color is suitable for emphasizing cool color tones from the blue or green spectrum. Materials such as concrete or cool-toned metals such as chrome, stainless steel and aluminum are given a sober, technical look when illuminated in this way. The neutral white 4000K color temperature is also ideally suited for mixed light situations with high levels of daylight.
