Light for large surfaces: room height 5-10m

The visual comfort of the lighting is important in high rooms. Narrow distribution downlights are suitable for uniform general lighting.

General lighting

For wide-area horizontal general lighting, high rooms with ceiling heights of 5-10m require high lumen-output downlights with especially good glare control to ensure high levels of visual comfort. The diameter of the light beam becomes proportionally wider over its distance, and for this reason narrower beam angles such as flood or wide flood should be specified for high rooms.

Rule of thumb for luminaire arrangement
