Creating atmosphere with light colours
To create atmosphere with light colours, ERCO offers LEDs with different colour temperature and colour rendering, from warm white to neutral white.
2700K for warm material colours
Warm colour tones such as red, orange and yellow are shown to particular advantage with a very warm 2700K light colour. Conversely, a cool light colour would lessen the impact of the colours. 2700K is especially suitable for materials such as wood or sandstone and warm-toned metals such as gold, brass and bronze.
3000K with different material colours
Where there are both warm and cool material colours in the same room the 3000K spectrum offers a very balanced result with respect to the overall impact of the colours. For this reason warm white with 3000K is recommended in buildings where many colours come together.
4000K with cool material colours
A 4000K light colour is suitable for emphasising cool colour tones from the blue or green spectrum. Materials such as concrete or cool-toned metals such as chrome, stainless steel and aluminium are given a sober, technical look when illuminated in this way. The neutral white 4000K colour temperature is also ideally suited for mixed light situations with high levels of daylight.
