The effect of white light colours
Emphasising with light material
The ideal light colour in shops: strengthening and emphasising colours with LED light
Warm material colours
Warm colours, such as red, orange and yellow are shown to particular advantage by a very warm colour of light at 2700K. Conversely, a cool light colour would lessen the impact of the colours. 2700K is especially suitable for use in bakeries, leather and gold jewellery stores as well as for surface materials such as wood and brick.
Various material colours
Where there are both warm and cool material colours in one area, white light with 3000K offers a very good result with respect to the overall impact of the colours. This light colour is therefore the best choice for shops offering a variety of merchandise with different colours and materials, e.g. fashion boutiques and supermarkets.
Cool material colours
Neutral white with 4000K emphasises cool colours such as blue and green. Merchandise such as silver jewellery or materials with metal or concrete are given a cool, technical appearance. In areas with plenty of daylight, the neutral white light colour with 4000K is an ideal supplement.
