The darklight lens not only creates a magical impression with just one light point. It also features precise, uniform light distributions, wide flexibility in the selection of beam characteristics and state of the art efficiency.
Framing attachments enable a sharply defined light beam. In this way fascinating effects can be created with contour spotlights, where crisply illuminated pictures appear to illuminate from within.
The light beam diameter can be infinitely adjusted from spot (15°) to wide flood (65°) by simply turning the lens. Zoom spotlights are particularly suitable for illuminating areas with changing exhibits and merchandise.
Eclipse offers high-end technology, maximum visual comfort and a system scope for all applications – for example in museums and galleries but also for exclusive retail projects. Interchangeable lens units define the light distributions—also with zoom spotlights and contour spotlights. With only one light point and an almost invisible beam path, the new Darklight lenses create a magical appearance. Refine with accessories: conversion filters create additional spectra and tunable white and RGBW are available for dynamic scenes. With four sizes, Eclipse fits ideally into existing installations. Modern connectivity such as Casambi Bluetooth, Zigbee or 0-10V via a bridge round off Eclipse.

Very narrow to wide beam, rotationally symmetrical light distribution for accent lighting.
2W - 30.5W
198lm - 3920lm
Works of art, merchandise and architectural details are effectively accentuated with Eclipse. The ideal angle of tilt (α) for this is around 30°. The object is modeled without distorting the effect as a result of excessive shadowing. It also prevents shadows cast by the observer.
Manually adjustable round or oval light distribution for accenting to floodlighting.
2W - 30.5W
198lm - 3920lm
Zoom spotlights feature a continuously adjustable beam angle. With the spot to wide flood zoom range, smaller works of art can be accentuated effectively at an inclination angle (α) of approximately 30°. The oval zoom is suitable for linear works of art. The object is modeled without distorting the effect as a result of excessive shadowing. It also prevents shadows cast by the observer.
Optical system with lens for the projection of hard-edged contours using a framing attachment.
5.8W - 30.5W
698lm - 3920lm
Contour spotlights generate freely adjustable, crisp-edged light beams. As a result fascinating effects can be created where pictures appear to illuminate from within. Select narrow framing to accurately illuminate small exhibits from a long distance and wide framing to accurately illuminate large exhibits from a short distance.
Wide-beam illumination of larger objects or spatial zones.
Asymmetrical light distribution for highly uniform wallwashing.
2W - 30.5W
198lm - 3920lm
For uniform vertical lighting, the distance to the wall (a) of Eclipse lens wallwashers should be around one third of the room height (h). This results in an angle of tilt (α) of around 35°.
Arrangement: a = 1/3 x h or α = 35°
For good longitudinal uniformity, the spacing (d) of Eclipse lens wallwashers may be up to 1.2 times the distance to the wall (a).
Arrangement: d ≤ 1.2 x a
Optimal wall distances and luminaire spacing values for individual products are specified in the wallwasher tables at www.erco.com.

Accessories for Eclipse
You can combine accessory elements with each other. Supplement your lens unit with up to three additional components.
Select from a total of 11 light distributions
Modulate the light distribution with lenses
Modify the light spectrum with filters
Achieve even more visual comfort with anti-glare elements
Please note that, depending on the size of the spotlight and mounting of the track, there may be restrictions on the permissible number of accessory components; for example, vertical wall installation. Please refer to the respective instructions for use.
Eclipse offers six spectra as standard from 2700K to 4000K and up to CRI 97. The conversion filters available as accessories make 24 additional spectra available. As an example, these would be suitable for temporary exhibitions requiring a modified lighting concept. To what extent spectra are changed depends on the filter selected: a Cold Filter and Warm Filter with lower intensity and a Cold Filter Plus and Warm Filter Plus with higher intensity are available.
For flexible adjustment of the spectrum Eclipse is also available as a tunable white version, enabling spectra from 2700K to 7500K with consistent color rendering of >92.
