48V technology

Low voltage technology achieves very good energy efficiency which leads to low operating costs.

Compact profile

The small dimensions of the track profile of only 22mm is highly discreet, thus directing the focus on the light. Compact profiles are particularly advantageous in small rooms.

Recessed

A plaster trim profile is available as an accessory for flush mounting in the ceiling or wall.

Surface-mounted

Track can be easily mounted to ceilings, walls and furniture as a surface-mounted variant.

Suspensions

Track can be simply suspended from the ceiling. Wire suspensions are ideal for sloping ceilings and pendant tubes are suitable for high loads.

Open system for luminaires from other manufacturers

Utilize our track as high quality infrastructure for your lighting design, also in combination with luminaires from other manufacturers. We provide the suitable adapters as OEM components.

With Minirail, ERCO offers a miniaturized alternative to the classic ERCO track as the basis for flexible space-saving lighting systems. Minirail features a 48V DC infrastructure for low voltage luminaires. The system requires only two conductors and features a narrow profile width of < 1": ideal for all situations requiring the smallest possible system dimensions, whether for aesthetic or technical reasons. In combination with correspondingly compact luminaires for Minirail, lighting designers can install high quality lighting in the smallest of spaces. The luminaires can be dimmed and controlled wirelessly The 48V system offers premium safety and efficiency. Minirail is suitable for ceiling surface-mounting and, with appropriate accessories, for ceiling-recessed and suspended mounting. A singlet is also available for mounting single spotlights. Various connectors, couplers and feeds form the basis for a diversity of configurations.

Different mounting methods

The system design of Minirail 48V track enables different types of mounting: recessed, surface-mounted, with mounting surfaces for ceiling panels or for suspension with wires or pendant tubes.

Linear arrangement

Power supply unit: Only use power supply units approved by ERCO
Connection cable: The total length of the connection cable should not exceed 10m / 35ft
The live end allows electrical connection from above or from the side
Track: The total length of a system must not exceed 20m/ 70ft
Coupler: the coupler enables track to be extended electrically. For pendant suspension, it is essential to plan the flush coupler together with wire suspension 13956.
Live end: the end plate forms a visual termination and protects against short-circuiting the conductors

Cross arrangement

Power supply unit: Only use power supply units approved by ERCO
Connection cable: The total length of the connection cable should not exceed 10m / 35ft
Track: The total length of a system must not exceed 20m/ 70ft

Polarity changer: Plan 2 polarity changers here to prevent short circuits

Non-rectangular arrangement

Power supply unit: Only use power supply units approved by ERCO
Connection cable: The total length of the connection cable should not exceed 10m / 35ft
Track: The total length of a system must not exceed 20m/ 70ft
Flexible connector: For non-rectangular forms, plan with the flexible connector or multiflex connector. These connectors, which can be modified without tools, allow the system to be continuously adapted to the conditions on site.
Multiflex connector: Multiflex connectors also allow vertical adjustment to compensate for height differences in the ceiling. These connectors are therefore ideal for connecting track running over walls and ceilings.
Long connector: Only if you plan multiflex connectors here is a long connector required for the power feed. Flexible connectors allow the power feed, a long connector would not be required here. Take the long connector into account when determining the length of the track sections.

Singlet

Power supply unit: Only use power supply units approved by ERCO
Connection cable: For safe operation, the following cable lengths should not be exceeded for each power supply unit with a cable cross section of 2.5mm² /14 AWG:
Power supply unit up to first singlet 10m / 35ft
First to last singlet 20m / 70ft
The specifications are based on an even distribution of electrical loads to the singlets. We recommend calculating the cable cross-sections project-specifically.
First and last singlet: you can plan as many singlets as you like between the first and the last singlet – the number of luminaires installed later depends on the capacity of the power supply unit.
Flush and overlapping mounting: To make the ceiling opening, use a standard 68mm diameter drill bit. Using the plaster ring accessory, the singlet can be easily installed flush with the ceiling via the proven ERCO mounting principle.

Minirail 48V power supply units

The power supply can be mounted in the ceiling. You can alternatively mount the 50W and 250W power supply units on the ceiling or above the track. For mounting on the track, a long connector or a live end is also required. The length of the Minirail track must not exceed 20m / 70ft per power feed.

Permissible loading is calculated from the max. permissible profile
deflection and the max. permissible mechanical loading of the suspension devices. Load distribution takes both the weight of the system and the equally distributed point loads into consideration.
