ERCO has its headquarters in Lüdenscheid, an industrial town steeped in tradition, right in the heart of Germany. The majority of the staff work here in the Design, Production, Sales and Administration departments. In addition to these, there are the employees in the offices and showrooms around the globe. The ERCO plant consists of price-winning industrial buildings as a living expression of the corporate culture. Several thousand luminaires leave the factory every day - heading for buildings on all continents and meeting the safety regulations of these destination countries. The production and testing processes are subject to strict, certified standards, which ensure that our products will provide a long functional life.

Research and development

Short distances assure optimum quality: photometric laboratories, tool shop and production department for the optical systems are all located on the same site. This allows for rapid comparison of simulations, prototypes and fabricated components.

Toolmaking

The production of moulds for optical LED elements made of polymer materials requires an extremely high level of technical expertise, experience and precision. ERCO has its own state-of-the-art toolmaking shop to ensure that the ideas of the designers are translated into production-ready products.

Lighting architecture

The Design, Marketing and Sales departments work together side by side in ERCO?s Technical Centre. The transparent and functional architecture, designed by Prof. Uwe Kiessler, is an expression of ERCO's corporate culture.

Mock-up room

The mock-up room is used both for demonstrating production-line products and for testing prototypes under variable conditions - such as different ceiling heights, which can be produced by the moveable ceiling. The possibilities available are rounded off by modern media technology.

Training

The company as a "learning organisation": Sharing and transferring knowledge at ERCO and its subsidiaries is embedded in the structure and institutionalised rather than left to chance.

Sustainability

ERCO acts responsibly in dealing with resources such as raw materials and energy - toward our customers, employees, and the environment. This is demonstrated in various fields of action: from our products and production to our corporate architecture.
