Downlight with wide diffuser
The downlights with a wide diffuser emit a conical beam of light downwards. They provide ambient lighting; ideal for rooms with ceiling heights of up to 3-4m, achieving good and uniform horizontal illuminance.

Double washlights
Double washlights are offered for uniform illumination of parallel walls as well as the floor area in hallways. The light is controlled using a darklight reflector which has two integral Spherolit reflector segments.

Lens wallwashers
Special lens reflector systems ensure highly uniform wall illumination. The darklight reflectors which are visible from below are glare-free. The lens wallwashers are ideal for numerous applications including lighting in museums, exhibitions or other prestigious venues.

Design

The simple cylindrical form of the surface-mounted downlights means it can be integrated inconspicuously in any architecture. For a stronger presence of the luminaires in the room, Cylinder is also available with varychrome ring. This adds a coloured accent to the main light as ambient lighting, emitted diffusely from a gap along the reflector edge and creating a decorative effect that subtly changes the colour in the room. The good colour rendition of the white LED light from the downlight is not affected by the varychrome ring.

Using the accessory options available, Cylinder surface-mounted luminaires can also be suspended as pendant luminaires. The cable can be installed on a ceiling canopy or on ERCO’s track. For light intensity distributions that require correct alignment, e.g. for wallwashers, it is advisable to use the pendant tube to prevent the luminaire from turning.

Orientation towards the wall
The wallwasher characteristics of Cylinder make correct orientation towards the wall crucial for optimal light effect. The ceiling fixtures are therefore marked appropriately to aid correct mounting.
