Light and architecture: aligning luminaires with the spatial structure
Develop the arrangement of the luminaires from the architecture. Axes, walls, ceiling structures, or support systems serve as reference points. Use them to determine the position of the luminaires.
In spaces with strong architectural elements, a coordinated arrangement of the luminaires reinforces the spatial effect. Rather than overlaying them, it creates a clear and functional lighting solution.

- 1Align the position of your luminaires with axes, walls, or support systems rather than placing them freely – this way the light reinforces the architecture instead of overlaying it.
- 2Use flooding illumination when you want to emphasise the entire ceiling surface, and narrow-beam luminaires when only the support structure itself should stand out.
