Product description

Hi-trac track and lighting structure is a heavy-duty infrastructure for suspending spotlights, downlights, wallwashers and pendant luminaires. The Hi-trac profiles with wide spacing of up to 12ft. are particularly recommended in rooms with just a few suspension points. Two variants of the Hi-trac profile are available: Either with empty upper profile for further cable routing or with indirect distribution luminaires to illuminate the ceilings. On the lower side of the Hi-trac profile, the integrated track provides a flexible and sustainable infrastructure. Spotlights, downlights, wallwashers and even pendant luminaires can be fitted there, and can also be moved or replaced with ease. Wire suspensions and pendant tubes offer an elegant solution for suspending Hi-trac and light structures. The extensive range of accessories allows a variety of arrangements and makes the track a universal infrastructure. In addition to 2-circuit mode, the track is also suitable as a power supply for wireless controls such as Casambi Bluetooth and Zigbee. This makes Hi-trac and light structures a very versatile infrastructure for lighting in museums, shops and offices.

Simply cut to size and install on site
Hi-trac is easily cut to size on site using a miter saw. There is no danger of damaging the conductor paths in the process.

Extremely stable and durable
Hi-trac is made of high quality aluminum. It is available in lengths up to 12ft. The spotlight adapters are similarly robust: designed for continuous use, the adapters are also not damaged by regular insertion and removal.

High quality powder coating
Suspended track in particular is distinctly noticeable in architecture. That is why we pay great attention to excellently finished surfaces. Hi-trac is powder coated to a high standard – including the inside of the track. In addition to standard black or white, ERCO track is also available with anodized surfaces and in 10,000 further colors.

Hi-trac can be suspended from the ceiling with wires or pendant tubes available as accessories. The upward distribution luminaires brighten the ceiling and provide indirect general lighting thanks to wide light distribution.

Arranging track

ERCO Hi-trac track with uplights

The best arrangement for track is along the walls with a distance to the wall of 1/3 of the room height. In this way you can use spotlights and wallwashers to optimally illuminate the walls of museums, galleries and shops. If furniture such as shelves or cabinets are placed in front of the wall, the distance should be modified according to the front plane of the furniture.

For optimum illumination of office workstations, it is recommended to position the track centered on the longitudinal axis of the desks.

The indirect distribution luminaire can be used to illuminate ceilings to emphasize the dimensions of high rooms. The ideal distance (d) of the light structure to the ceiling is 3ft.

What is the maximum spacing for Hi-trac track and light structures?

The maximum spacing of Hi-trac track and light structures is 12ft. With this spacing, luminaires with a load of up to 16.53lbs / 7.5kg can be fitted on the track. With spacing of 8ft / 2m, loads up to 35.27lbs / 16kg can be mounted within 8ft / 2m.
