The Chinese Niushou Mountain has been a renowned place of pilgrimage for Buddhists for centuries. A temple complex with impressive dimensions was recently constructed at the location.
A large hall is situated at the centre containing a monumental memorial with a height of more than 20 metres.
Works of art completely cover the walls and ceiling. Accent lighting draws visitors' attention to the Buddha figures.
The light beams of ERCO lighting tools can be very precisely aligned, lending the aureoles of the Buddha statues an even more radiant appearance.
Many of the surfaces have been laboriously gold-plated. Warm white light with 3000K emphasises the golden tones.
Intricately designed details can be discovered everywhere. The dragon was at one time the heraldic symbol of the Emperor.
The Usnisa relic from Buddha Shakyamuni is kept in a separate room. Grasshopper projectors from ERCO ensure ideal lighting.
Pilgrims are able to completely concentrate on their prayers in the Usnisa Palace. Regular religious events are also held, in honour of Buddha Shakyamuni for example.
